NEW CONSTRUCTION

Carlisle Veterans' Honor Roll

Town of Carlisle

Built from New England quarried granite with bronze plaques 'floating' above the memorial wall

Previously located at the edge of the Town Common at the corner of Westford and Concord Streets were two wooden structures entitled "Honor Roll - In Hope of Peace Serving God & Country". The 198 names listed were those who were called to duty for WWI, WWII, Korea & Vietnam. Because the Memorial was constructed of wood, the years took their toll. It was replaced by the new Veterans' Honor Roll Memorial.

The memorial draws passerby to a place of respect and reverence dedicated to the Carlisle residents who have already served in the US military, while leaving space for the new generations to come.
