Northeast Rehabilitation is partnering with York Hospital to develop a 20 bed hospital-based acute rehabilitation satellite, single-story addition to its campus. LWDA’s design approach is a balance of therapeutic /clinical and residential aesthetics.  The rehabilitation unit is comprised of private patient rooms with guest sleeper or lounging ability, central gym and activity / dining areas with view and direct access to the exterior court. The outdoor Activities of Daily Living and Therapy Court are grounded in the natural scenic beauty of York Maine with dramatic views. The Maine coast is the inspiration for the color palette consisting of tranquil blues (water), greens (forest), grays and tans (shoreline and sand).
