A $270 million, 2.5 million sf master plan of the BMC campus consolidates two adjacent campuses with duplicate inpatient and outpatient services to improve patient care, save money and increase efficiency. Major interventions include a reconfigured Emergency Department, inpatient and outpatient Surgery Department, inpatient and outpatient Imaging services, and 35 other departments to streamline services. A new Infill Building, Co-Generation Power Plant, extensive utility infrastructure, and multiple renovations are orchestrated in a multi-phase, five year, five part implementation plan.
